Amazon.sg prioritizes investment in high-demand selection from Amazon's U.S., Japan, and Germany stores to offer Singapore customers tens of millions of international products with fast, reliable delivery in as little as two days, including free delivery for Prime members. The change will see Amazon.sg phasing out local fulfillment, including Amazon Fresh and grocery partners.
Prior to launching Amazon.sg, we heard from customers that they wanted a local storefront in Singapore to make shopping our International Stores easier – with local currency and payment options, local deal events, and Prime benefits tailored for Singapore. And we delivered, launching Amazon.sg in 2019. Amazon.sg has also offered some locally-sourced selection, including Amazon Fresh and grocery partners, as part of the customer experience.
Over time, we’ve learned that what customers value most about Amazon.sg is the broad international selection from Amazon’s U.S., Japan, and Germany stores, with the majority of units sold from our International Store. In response to this feedback, we’ve made the decision to prioritize our investment in expanding Amazon International Store selection on Amazon.sg. Customers will continue to enjoy a local storefront with tens of millions of products, locally-relevant deals and deal events, and a Prime membership built specifically for Singapore customers, including fast free delivery on tens of millions of items, award-winning entertainment on Prime Video, video game benefits with Amazon Luna, exclusive Prime member deals and shopping events like Prime Day, and more.

And with delivery in as little as two days for eligible orders, we're making it easy to discover great products customers want and need."
As we prioritize our investment in the Amazon International Store products our customers want most, we’ve made the decision to phase out our local fulfillment in Singapore, which includes Amazon Fresh and grocery partners. We’re working to transition our vendors and sellers to alternative ways to continue to serve Singapore customers where possible. We’ll continue to offer a wide selection of everyday essentials, including products across health and personal care, apparel, home, kitchen, and more.
As a result, a small number of roles in Amazon Singapore’s Stores organization will be impacted. We’re working closely with affected employees, including helping them find new roles within Amazon wherever possible. For those who are unable to find a new role or choose not to pursue one, we are offering transition support including severance payments and career transition services. Amazon remains deeply committed to Singapore and our investments across our retail, Global Selling, entertainment, devices, and AWS business lines, employing 2,500 people in the country.
